Our lifegroup is studying the book “Classic Christianity” by Bob George. If you haven’t read it yet, put it on your list. It’s one you’re likely to share and want to read more than once!
Last night we reviewed chapter 9 titled The Ministry Of Condemnation, the chapter that deals with law and grace. It was a great time of fellowship, study and discussion. I believe we all came away understanding that we are no longer bound by the law since we are now living free without condemnation in grace through faith in Christ. Grace so amazing! Yet a question still lingered in the room. Ok, so we are no longer bound by the law, but what about the 10 commandments?
I love how God confirms things ….. check out what came in email this morning from Bible Gateway
“For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law. ”
Paul may have written those words for us over 2000 years ago, but the Holy Spirit delivers right on time!
