There’s No Place Like Home

I couldn’t wait to get this day started.  This morning I woke up elevated and emotional.  Even the air felt electric.  People around me were excited too.  Despite a minor glitch here or there, it finally happened.  We held our first services in the new building with the bold orange stripe.  Can I just TELL you how awesome it was!

Although it’s a much larger space it feels like home, like it should.  You could feel God’s presence.  The music was acoustic, worshipful and intimate.  Perfect for this special day.

Those of us in attendance today had the unique honor and privilege of consecrating the new worship center during a prayer walk.  Individually, as couples, as families we prayed over the building and everything in it, from chairs, to doors, to stage, to green room, to café and beyond.  We prayed for the people who make up LifesongChurch, our pastors and their families, for the many hands and feet who worked so hard to help make this new building happen.  We prayed for God’s people taking on new roles in ministry and discipleship and we prayed for the precious and lost who will eventually be led here where they too will find love, grace, acceptance, salvation, hope and healing through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

That’s why we’re here, that’s why we call Lifesong home … this growing group of people who share the same vision, purpose and focus.  That’s why a new, larger building was so necessary.   We’ve made a seat for you!   Come check us out.  Grand Opening is 9/11, with services at 9 and 11.

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”  Luke 10:27

  3. Mark Bowling says:

It was an amazing day in so many ways as we discussed at dinner. It was a spirit filled day and full of God’s revelations that our history being merged with that of our fellow LifeSong is no coincidence and part of God’s plan!

It sounds awesome, Elena! This day is sure to be one you’ll never forget. 🙂
